Just installed casa CASA 5.3.0-73 and then follow the instructions from the readme file. However after installing any package e.g. astropy and then running casa in a fresh terminal and importing it. I got the ImportError. I tried to reinstall the package, however I got Requirement already satisfied which is correct. I checked the ~/.casa/lib/python/site-packages directory which correctly contains the packages. It seems that the problem is that casa is not calling correctly the packages. Does anyone have a clue of what might be going on? Thanks in advance

Just noticed that I installed a prerelease of CASA 5.3 for Mac OS X High Sierra 10.13. I uninstalled it and installed the last stable CASA version 5.1 and reinstalled casa-pip. Now it works smoothly!

Thanks for the update. So, does that mean that casa-pip does not work on the prerelease version? That's possible, we haven't tested it yet.
