Add any publicly available links here.

(Hope you're fine with this issue arturbien. Just genuinely curious)

Just launched RacerTrash.com using the recently-released React95 v3 with THEMES, and also used win95-media-player! Thanks @arturbien and @benwiley4000 🥳

@jdhartley That's really nice! Wonder how did you move the AppBar at the bottom part?

App to browse Github - Github95

You can search repos and users, as well as listing trending and popular repos

React95 is a fantastic library, so easy to use

@sorxrob add a class to AppBar, then css to move bar to bottom
.myAppbar { top: auto; bottom: 0; };

@arturbien It would be great addition to optionally set AppBar at bottom. I could submit pr if you like

Wow, this is awesome! This has been the style I've been looking for. Any chance you could share the source code with me?😊

Hey everyone, cool projects. I don't have much to show other than my own website. It uses a lot of icons from @react95/icons.

Please check it out :) https://liyun.li

Hey guys! I started using this theme some months ago, and I came up with the idea of running Doom in a win95 themed website. It turned out working! with a lot of little hacks and unsafe code in the middle..

The project is progressing and now I added Paint and Winamp (Webamp) too! So I might turn this into my funky dev portfolio.

Please let me know what you think!

Built with Next.js + Typescript:

https://doom-in-win-95.vercel.app/

Notes:

  • I used Js-Dos for running Doom (But in iframe - for now).
  • Trying to run Webamp was a pain in the ass, only 1.5 version ended working, the lastest version was giving me 'Webamp is not a constructor' errors.
  • I added original Win 95 cursors.
  • I used original win95 '.ico' files for most of the icons for a more OG look.
  • I used "image-rendering: pixelated" css rule for all the images to give all the icon a non-aliased retro look.
  • Paint, Doom and fish background are iFrames. So they are not part of the code... I know, I'm a bland dev, but the hacky effort to integrate them seamlessly was a pain in the a**, for real, but I like it!.
  • I used react-draggable and resizable packages to make some windows draggable and resizable!
  • If you wait 35 seconds, the famous 'Maze' screensaver will show up. (props to this beautiful package: https://github.com/ibid-11962/Windows-95-3D-Maze-Screensaver)
