Question - extending data types for PostgreSQl

Is there any plan to extend the set of supported data types for PostgreSQL?
For example, an intarray column.
It would be nice to have this type including GiST, GIN @>, <@ operators.
Entity Framework Core for PostgreSQL has something similar.
