Was wondering if you know whether there's a similar extension for firefox. Something super simple like chrome-saml?

IIRC I've successfully tested this app with Firefox. You can build or download the ZIP from Releases and install manually.

Time permitting, I will publish this to Firefox marketplace.

sorry @pauldraper but i don't know anything about browser extensions. When I tried to download and manually install https://github.com/rivethealth/chrome-saml/releases/download/v1.0.0/extension.zip firefox says the file is corrupted? From what I've read it looks like firefox exentions are xpi files? How do I get (build or download) an acceptable file to install into firefox?

This extension works with great with Firefox, but sideloading an unsigned FF addon for a manual install requires a browser specific setting identifier in the manifest, that you be using a development, ESR, or nightly FF build, and that you disable xpinstall.signatures.required in about:config (per the last item here) which puts constraints on where it can be used.

It would great to get an official Firefox add on.
