On a fresh install, formr won't connect to the database, when using the 'encoding' settings from config-dist/settings.php
Changing it to 'utf8mb4' solves the problem.

Thanks for reporting this. I'm working on transitioning to a docker compose based install, which will fix such problems.

Since I'm in the process of setting up formr for our research institute, I would be very interested in a Docker Compose based installation. When do you think this could be ready?
