How to change language in spell checker

Hi, I'm from Spain, so I type my diary entries in Spanish. I do not mind the options to be in English, but the spell checker is in English too so every single word I type appears with an underlying red line:

Is there a way to change this?

I have exactly the same problem except I need spell checking in Turkish. There does not seem to be an option for that in the preferences.

On linux I can launch the app from terminal as:
LANGUAGE=tr_TR mini-diary
This makes menu items, names of the days and such Turkish BUT the spell checker remains English.

Find where the diary files are. In my computer it is in snap folder. Go to "/minidiary/19/.config/Mini Diary/". Open the "Preferences" file. You can change spellchecker from there.
