error: GID 1000 did not exist and had to be created manually after container start. #53

I used the docker-compose.yaml from the readme, effect, exactly as stated above.

If you mean that this message is logged upon container startup, this is normal behavior as the user is created inside the docker container as a part of the script. Is it causing a problem? (more detail in your issue report might be helpful)
