Getting parse error when using .bib files with comments.

Actually, comments work, but only outside of the blocks. However, as far as I know, they're supposed to work in both cases.

I'm using this .bib file, and as we can see it does work in that case.

Whatever is outside blocks is always considered to be comments (i.e. they don't need the % here).

But you are right that inside blocks, some lines can have percent-comments. We'd have to check the syntax exactly, from what I remember it's not everywhere (i.e. not in braced values obviously).
