[Android] REST API exception on low-end devices #261

Steps to reproduce:

Run app on low-end (slow) 7" device in portrait mode

Expected results after the bug is fixed
App opens

Current results, before the bug is fixed
App throws error after loading in 3 out of 5 tries

Device Info and android version:
Unknown A711 Android 4.1.1 (7" low-end tablet)

My gues would be unhandled timeout
