I don't know if this is intentional or not. I am unemployed and a programming enthusiast, and I cannot afford a subscription plan and thus I am using an open source account.

Recently Sourcery stopped working, literally the minute before it showed suggestions, and the next I created a new file and it suddenly doesn't work anymore.

Hovering over function names no longer show Sourcery Code Metrics.

Clicking the hexagon icon opens the Sourcery tab:

2023-11-08_201222

It says:

Project disabled for account

Your Open Source Sourcery account can't be used for private projects.

Google searching yields absolutely nothing relevant at all. I tried to uninstall Sourcery and reinstall it, this didn't work.

I just want to know, if this was intentional or was it caused by a bug? I guess it is intentional. If so, I understand and will just stop using Sourcery.

This is an intended change - We've had a number of long discussions about this internally, and ultimately from a business perspective we've had to shift to have Sourcery be free for open source projects and paid for private projects.

We've tried to make some exceptions to this (specifically for students and educators), but we know that doesn't cover everyone's situation. Can you email [email protected] to let him know what email address or github account you use for your Sourcery account and he can get you set up with continued free access.
