I completed the workshop before when Splunk hosted it. Right now I am working on the workshop from home with Multipass and not using AWS and have been experiencing issues accessing locust. I'm in the process of creating a use-case to purchase the suite and have met with several Splunk engineers yesterday going over issues I had with the APM workshop on the SignalFx page. Now I am experiencing issues with this one.
When I set up the otel collector I only had 1 cluster and not 3 like the instructions. Everything else looked good when I went through the rest of the steps.
I can not access locust after setting up nginx. Checking the locust-deployment.yaml I see the annotations are referring to a AWS load balancer. I'm not sure if it's not generating because I'm not using AWS, or I missed some steps, or if the workshop is only able to run if Splunk is hosting it. I tried using the host IP address:8080.
Can I only do the workshop if Splunk is hosting it? If so is there a way to play around with it by myself or would I need to create my own resources?
Thank you.
