You should give more points for using more numbers, probably with exponential growth, and also more points for using things other than + and - because that's also harder to do.
Maybe make it so that p points are given by default for solving it, and then multiply it by the number of numbers used.
Also multiply it by the number of mathematical operators used other than + and -.
