The content of your YT channel is great!
I've been thinking about best practices for email addresses
There a couple of different scenario's
⁃ Random website, like a guitar forum, newsletter or whatever
⁃ E-commerce
⁃ Social media
⁃ Crypto
⁃ Personal (work, friends/family)
So the questions that arise are:
⁃ Would it be wise to start using a different email address for each scenario?
⁃ If so, should all of them be anonymous, like [email protected], instead of [email protected]?
⁃ Can the personal email address contain your name?
And then, which information should you share when signing up?
⁃ Should you come up with fake names and birthdates for the random website?
⁃ I guess that for e-commerce and crypto related websites you should give your real information, or stuff might go wrong, right?
For existing accounts
⁃ Does it make sense to change the email from [email protected] to a new anonymous address? They will probably keep the old email address in the database, so then they will probably link the addresses, which is the opposite of what you're trying to achieve.
⁃ To solve this, should you make a new account instead? I wonder this is even possible in some cases like banks and exchanges
⁃ And won't everything be linked to each other anyway, because you're using the same ip and mac address? (I know the mac can be spoofed)
I know it's a bunch of question, but I believe proper best practice for email is important.
Looking forward to your thoughts
