PeerTube - The Discovery Nightmare #50

Maybe unrelated, but I use invidious a lot as the better content is still on Youtube. Invidious is another front-end (privacy redirect even replaces embedded videos) so not really ditching youtube. I do, where possible, use Peertube(Sun and Techlore) using RSS(FreshRSS on a Raspberry (I do the same with invidious)). |

YouTube is hard to replace when it comes to discovery, but given PeerTube features federation, perhaps you will be able to find a thoughtfully curated instance that federates creators you like such as https://tube.privacytools.io/ in the context of privacy content (which federates both Techlore and my content for example). |

Hey guys!
My objective is to ditch YouTube, that's it!
Here enters PeerTube.
After a couple of minutes navigating the service, one thing had become clear, discovering content will be challenging.
This is because of it's decentralised nature, which is good in some areas, but really bad on this one.
I've watched some content on YouTube about this, but I'm not sure if "The Algorithm" has hidden all the best ones, or if there's just no good walkthrough, explain the best way to use PeerTube.
That's why I'm here, I need your help.
I will use PeerTube from a pure content consumption perspective, I will not publish any content.
Having said that, I will likely need an account to manage subscriptions and to centralise in my account what is decentralised by default, does it make sense?
Here are my questions:
I am very excited about this, hopefully you can also recommend some good channels on PeerTube.
Thanks everyone!
