Hi all,
This is really hard news to break, but about 2 months ago we lost Jon Akhtar, suddenly and tragically. He was my friend, and my mentor for about 4-5 years. We worked together and he taught me pretty much everything I know about software. Though I don't play WoW, I know how important his contribution was to the community, and as a gamer myself, I know exactly how much that means to people.

I want his contributions to live on, so please someone help maintain his repos. Fork it if you have to, just please make sure his legacy lives on. He was an incredible human being, beyond words.

I am very sorry for your lose @Devinmarra . I came around looking for the latest update to prat because it has been such an integral part of my World of Warcraft experience for a very long time. No one has made a chat addon quite like him.

I am very sorry for your loss too @Devinmarra, my condolences. I have been using "Prat" for so many years in my own interface package and when I had problems Sylvaanar was always quick to help.

I wish with all my heart that someone can be found to continue his work.

Just an update, this is still a work in progress. Github has been slow to respond to my support ticket. If I don't hear back in the next few days I'll see about escalating.

I've connected with Gil from Curseforge and he's been very accommodating. Things are progressing there, once ownership gets transferred either to Jon's successor if he named one, or to me, we'll hopefully be back up and running.

If it comes to me, I will need to find developers to maintain this. I'm open to suggestions, and I'll be reaching out to past contributors directly. I don't play wow, I don't know LUA, and knowing Jon's code style I'd be in way over my head lol.

Another update: I have made some connections, things are moving forward and we have a plan of action.

Step 1: I am working with Gil & family to transfer Jon's Curseforge account over to me.
Step 2: I've created a GitHub Organization where we will fork all of Jon's work with WoW addons
Step 3: With control transferred to me, I'll be able to rewire the Curseforge links over to the new fork
Step 4: I need to find someone willing to take the lead updating Prat.

I was able to connect with people to take over WIM, which should be up and running within the next couple days. If anyone is interested in taking the lead on Prat, please let me know as soon as possible.
