Google closure is not working at all on any of the 2 latest w3tc versions.
Identified problems:

No response from Web Service, fixed with Changed closure web api url to https #580
Test for local variant fails with "empty java path", fixed with Fixed minify test error for closure compiler #579
Compilation gets repeated on every page access. Unknown root cause
Compilation fails with error 500

This is a collection of issues that i encountered while trying to get it to work.
