sidecar - .net framework that needs access to filesystem

Can the sidecar feature run a .net framework console application that needs access to filesystem?

Yes, but using .net framework requires you to change the WiX template so that it installs that on the user's system if needed. (unless it's possible to create a self-contained .net framework app?)

The file system access should be no problem.
