Not a bug (at least here), firmware updated and the docs don't have the current link.

is the current link. We can probably add a symlink for 'latest.fwbundle' to the repo that points to whatever we need if you want to swap that into the docs site

This was fixed on the doc site (https://docs.tenstorrent.com/tenstorrent/add-in-boards-and-cooling-kits/grayskull-tm-e75-e150/software-setup); unless there are any other changes that need to be made, this can probably be closed.

I'm going to leave this open for now while we figure out how we want to sort out a stable link to the latest firmware to download, I've got a couple of ideas on how we can do it but need to sort some stuff out first

@smehtaTT Considering we are tracking out issues on Github effectively, if this gets closed we would fundamentally stop tracking it entirely from our side, which I don't think is the intention. It's probably more useful if various links are added to the respective tracking locations vs. just closing things that may, or may not, be dupes/related.

@warthog9 bringing this back as the docs pages that used to host the wget command for the firmware were removed from docs. May I suggest the inclusion of the updated command using the latest.fwbundle in the readme file here so other installation documents can reffer to it?

I'm confused why that was removed as that was part of the docs that syseng owned. If that's gone then syseng doesn't have any user facing docs, only developer facing docs, and I'd be utterly confused by that turn of events, particularly when we've got changes to those docs and simplifying our life ongoing in the likes of

@warthog9 My understanding is that it's part of an effort to make installation steps clear. Docs is currently showing more general instructions (such as "Navigate here to install driver") and pointing to appropriate repos for the specific commands and steps. It seems to rely on the assumption that each tt repo contains their own installation instructions for users.

That's a bad assumption since the repositories themselves don't have end user facing documentation they have developer centric documentation. Sending end users there is probably a bad plan since the assumptions and what needs doing are VERY different

Thank you for clarifying. I believe the right question for this issue is simply: Where can we find the source of truth end user installation instructions for tt-firmware and other syseng applications?

that we've maintained for end users. There's going to be a bit of an upheaval when we get to distro packaging which is getting worked on now
