reference performance issues / render less

This happened a while ago in a workshop, now I remembered again..
When the reference is open, the whole site is much slower, also affecting the sound performance, most likely due the fact that the reference is huge and renders a lot of elements on the page that just sit there. This is only noticeable on middle to lower end hardware..
I might be good idea to only show the list of functions and on click show the reference for just that function

• this would also give more space on smaller screens
