I used this Outlook add-in on Windows 10 computer, and I could drag the attachments from Outlook 2016 to IE 11 web page successfully, and then Outlook disabled it, because it crashed Outlook.
I went to "File>Slow and Disabled COM Add-ins" and tried to enable it back, but nothing happens when I click "Enable this add-in button". I can check the checkbox next to this add-on at "File>Options>Add-ins>Manage COM Add-ins", but I still cannot drag attachments out to IE, and I noticed that for Load Behavior it does not show Load at Startup, but Unloaded.
I closed Outlook, uninstalled this add-in using Programs and Features, and confirmed it was gone from Outlook. Then installed it back, and started Outlook again. Outlook did not ask to Install this add-in, and I experience the exact same behavior as before re-install.
Any ideas how to fix this?

Try these steps:

  1. Go to File > Options.
  2. On the left side, click Add-Ins.
  3. At the bottom, change the Manage dropdown to "Disabled Items".
  4. Click Go.
  5. Select OutlookFileDrag.
  6. Click Enable.
  7. Click Close.
  8. Click OK.

I forgot a few steps in the instructions above. These are the complete steps needed to re-enable the add-in after it has been disabled:

  1. Go to File > Options.
  2. On the left side, click Add-Ins.
  3. At the bottom, change the Manage dropdown to "Disabled Items".
  4. Click Go.
  5. Select OutlookFileDrag.
  6. Click Enable.
  7. Click Close.
  8. Change the Manage dropdown to "COM Add-Ins".
  9. Click Go.
  10. Check OutlookFileDrag.
  11. Click OK.

I tested this on my PC and was able to re-enable the add-in.
