As of https://getcomposer.org/doc/faqs/how-do-i-install-a-package-to-a-custom-path-for-my-framework.md it will be easier than now to set the bootstrap-icons installer path configured in any project composer.json.

So it just needs the type in composer.json and to require composer/installers .
