The kernal's I/O routines should be implemented:

opening a file for reading or writing
writing bytes
reading bytes
closing a file

We should use testing stubs in the BASIC SAVE and LOAD commands to test these routines first, before implementing BASIC routines.

Now, what filesystems are out there?
