Display every field in interlaced video

I am trying to find the best way to step through interlaced video, and display each field as its own frame using the arrow keys. Currently it calculates each frame with a duration of 0.0333666, where each field is 0.0333666/2 (29.97 fps video). Using yadif filter it will display one field, and remove the lines to clean up the image, but that does not help me display every field as its own while stepping through the video.

Any ideas are appreciated.
