A code editor for the SVG will be nice. It could be a simple formatted editor, or more feature-rich editor. It could also just be a frame to embed the built-in text editor (if that's possible).

The preview could split into two previews: saved version on left, and edited unsaved version on right, and they could update when editing or saving.
