Editable dropdown list

Hi

Is it possible to have an editable drop-down list. If the user cannot find the option in the list then they can write their own. The next time the page is loaded this new option would then be defined is the list. Its similar to your tag list except it is for the drop-down list and will only allow one value not multiple like the tag-list.
