Figure I'd ask... Android wise the RT is able to run Android 7.1.2 via uboot and UEFI exploit

The Nexus 7 2012 shares a lot in common with said Microsoft tablet, weird UEFI quirks aside. I'd love to see LuneOS on said Windows RT device.

This development as far as Android and Linux is concerned is possible thanks to the Open RT project

Hi Alex,

Our current software stack with new glibc (2.40) and systemd (256) provided by Yocto (scarthgap release at the moment) give headaches with any kernels < 4.0. Seeing both Grouper and the RT devices are still on a 3.x kernel this will be a no-go. Once a working mainline kernel is available, getting it to run again is fairly easy.

We have 5.17 mainline kernel if memory serves... graphics acceleration doesn't work though. 3.4 is it for GPU acceleration it seems.

Here's the 6.4 mainline kernel: https://2395005476-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F-MJQb34R_xPz0ll0scbM%2Fuploads%2Ffc8lC01Lob9eAAw7wuDn%2Fsurface-rt-6.4-kernel-inc-modules.zip?alt=media&token=97b9d270-5b51-472e-b606-2902d14dbb6b
