Technology and Features

• CosmosSDK + CometBFT consensus
• Deterministic gas fee: Coreum uses a deterministic gas model for its transactions, meaning that given a transaction type (e.g., /coreum.asset.ft.v1.MsgIssueGasPrice), one can know how much gas will be used beforehand, and this amount is fixed if some preconditions are met.
• Smart Tokens: assets that live at the protocol level. They come with a set of features that can now be extended by triggering smart contract execution.
• CosmWasm smart contract module

Technical requirements for running a node

None - Coreum will emit messages to Gateway via IBC. Guardians should not have to run anything additional (except for guardians who may run IBC relayers).

IBC Relaying Strategy

The Forbole team, currently Wormhole Guardians and Coreum validators, has volunteered to take on IBC relaying. We also have other validator partners who are willing to assist if necessary.
