Hello, I got this patch from one of our Debian developper in order to support Python 3.12
With the removable of distutils, it switched to setuptools.

Could you consiere integrating this change ?

Sure, but there will be a bit of a delay while I am dealing with some unpleasant dental work and the distractions that come with it. The oral surgeon should get around to fixing me up about 2 weeks from now, so it might be early January before this fix makes it into a formal release. Regards, Herbert
