I suggest to add a new tag aDNA kinship. This is a topic with obvious relevance for archaeology. Papers about biological kinship are usually developed in close collaboration of geneticists and archaeologists.

The following software tools could be added to this tag:

  • READ (already in open-archaeo)
  • tkgwv2 (already in open-archaeo)
  • lcMLkin (already in open-archaeo with the slightly unusual name "maximum-likelihood-relatedness-estimation")
  • grups (https://github.com/sameoldmike/grups/)

@jfy133 Do you know other software tools that fall into this category? Maybe you, @MaiteRivollat? I know you worked extensively on this topic and probably dived deeply into the available software tools.

You got the ones I already knew.

I guess could consider: https://github.com/ANGSD/NgsRelate

as "from low coverage Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data by using genotype likelihoods instead of called genotypes" - not specfically aDNA but I suspect is related
