System:
Android 10
Nokia 7.2
Back camera, 1920×1080, 120 FPS
Steps to reproduce:
Turn on the screen auto-rotation function in Android
Open the app and navigate to the recording screen
Rotate the phone to the portrait mode and wait for the app to rotate
Rotate the phone to the landscape mode and wait only half the time before the app rotates
Press the record button just before the app rotates
Think you are recording
Press the stop button
App crashes and returns to the camera selection screen
Probability of happening when following the steps:
I can make it in 50% cases. Timing seems to be the key. When I start recording too soon, it works without crashing. When I start recording too late, the app manages to rotate before starting recording.
The same results with
Samsung Galaxy S7
Back camera, 1280×720, 240 FPS
The only difference is that the Samsung rotates the screen faster - there is a shorter time window between device rotation and app rotation.
