These programs can make a very specific type of shipping label (primarily for the publishing industry, but I suppose others might use it too) based on the Book Industry Study Group specifications. See the actual standards guide at http://bisg.org/page/Guides under "Guidelines for Shipping Container Labeling"

They feature a GTIN-14 compliant barcode and generates a PDF with two labels on each page. Page size is US Letter.
