We are thrilled to announce the release of v1.2 for Capital Connect, a significant update to our platform that introduces a host of improvements, new features, and refinements aimed at enhancing the user experience and expanding the capabilities of our application. This update builds on the solid foundation of the existing AB3 Codebase, with contributions from our dedicated team members. Here’s what’s new:
New Features and Enhancements:
- Save Dashboard State: To improve user workflow, the dashboard state can now be saved. This ensures that users can pick up exactly where they left off, providing a seamless experience.
- Assign Funding Stage: It’s now possible to assign specific funding stages to startups directly, enabling better organization and clarity regarding a startup's current financial phase.
- Notes to Startups: Users can now add custom notes to startups, allowing for personalized annotations and reminders, enhancing the tracking and management of startup interactions.
Documentation Updates:
- Update to User Guide (UG): The User Guide has been updated to include new sections on adding industry and funding stage information, providing users with clear instructions on how to use these new features.
- Updates in Developer Guide (DG): Significant updates have been made to the Developer Guide, including the target user profile, value proposition, user stories, use cases, non-functional requirements (NFR), and the glossary to ensure developers have all the information they need.
- Updated README.md and AboutUs.md: Our README.md and AboutUs.md documents have been revised to reflect the latest project status and team composition, ensuring that stakeholders and new contributors have up-to-date information.
Key Improvements:
- Codebase Refactoring: We've undertaken a comprehensive refactoring of our codebase to improve its maintainability, performance, and scalability. This lays a solid foundation for future enhancements.
- Enhanced Startup Management: Users can now add, view, delete, and find startups with greater ease, thanks to improvements in the user interface and backend logic. These enhancements make managing startup information more efficient and user-friendly.
Bug Fixes and Other Changes:
Numerous bug fixes and performance improvements have been made to ensure the application runs smoothly and reliably.
We want to extend our gratitude to all team members who have contributed to this release, especially @yeoshuheng, @dwangwk, @menatahari, and @yespiggy, for their hard work and dedication. This update represents a significant step forward for our platform, and we're excited to see how our users will leverage these new features and improvements to achieve their goals.
As always, we welcome your feedback and suggestions to continue making our platform better for everyone.
