This is a wiki page for extended documentation about the UIMA-BioC library. This work is focussed on developing machine reading systems that use the BioC format to store and manage published scientific information. UIMA-BioC is a Java library, but we will also document use of Python-based approaches in our sister project: https://github.com/SciKnowEngine/PyBioC (which is forked and extended from https://github.com/2mh/PyBioC).
