SE garage - Software Engineering Garage

Introduction

• A web interface to upload tools/scripts/binaries created in Software engineering research
• Curation of SE artifacts in one central place for ease of discoverablility.
• Enables replication of research results without hassle and helps further incremental research.
• Developed in SWAG (Software Architecture group) Lab at the University of Waterloo.

Tech stack

• Uses Python Flask framework
• Uses MySQL for storage and elasticsearch for indexes
• AWS S3 bucket for file storage
• Uses python JWT for authentication
• Uses jQuery and Ajax for asynchronous calls
• Unit test done and 80% code coverage
• All the configuration settings are taken from OS environment variables
