AHK-TaskKill-Explorer

AHK-TaskKill-Explorer is an AutoHotkey script designed to optimize system performance while playing Any Fullscreen Games by terminating explorer.exe.

Installation

  1. Download AutoHotkey: If you haven't already, download and install AutoHotkey from here.

  2. Download the Script: Download the AHK-TaskKill-Explorer.ahk file from this repository.

  3. Run the Script: Double-click the AHK-TaskKill-Explorer.ahk file to run the script with AutoHotkey.

Usage

  1. Running the Script: Once the script is running, it will automatically monitor the running state of the specified process (e.g., Valorant, VALORANT-Win64-Shipping.exe) in the background.

  2. Optimizing Performance: When the specified process is running, the script will terminate the explorer.exe process using taskkill to prevent distractions and optimize system performance.

  3. Restoring Explorer: When the specified process is no longer running, the script will automatically restart the explorer.exe process.

Important Note

Note: You can customize the script to monitor and manage any process by editing the script and changing the process name in the code.

Game Process Name
Valorant VALORANT-Win64-Shipping.exe
Dota 2 dota2.exe
Apex Legends r5apex.exe
