Finally managed to get appendages to render.
More appendages sprites. Perks in the species selection. Eyes now have way more health but you can't wear glasses.
Makes the chelicerae a separate external organ so it renders on top of jumpsuits. A bit of cleaning

Adds a bunch of modular comments to stuff that didn't have them. Moves the species define to a core folder.

Adds arachnid mutation toxin, created by mixing lizard mutation toxin and toxin. Arachnids are weak to flyswatters and pest killer. Arachnid eyes have night vision but no longer have increased health. Arachnids now have their own tongue and chitter instead of buzz. Arachnids have their own scream now (From SS14).
A bit of feedback from my own experiences. The positive being extra speed, which I don't really notice at all, isn't worth the tradeoff of having to avoid very important jobs. While implants exist for sec/medHUDs, that is going to be at least half an hour delay before you can get robotics to install them into you. |
Arachnids have the extra speed (which i also think isn't noticeable) brute damage resistance and (in the latest commit) night vision. Yes, it makes jobs harder but it doesn't stop you. You can still use your medical scanner as a doctor. You can download the security records in your PDA (You can't edit though i think). You can still set up the SM, Tesla and Singulo as an engineer (with hallucinations). It doesn't make these jobs impossible, just an extra challenge. |
no glaring issues have been reported the eye change while hurts is pretty reasonable, going to merge now. |

Arachnids are humanoid spider people that are agile and resistant to brute damage, they don't have great resistance against lasers or heat however.
Arachnids have a lot of eyes, this prevents them from wearing any kind of glasses, having to rely on implants, welding helmets or an eye replacement surgery. Arachnids eyes have a lot of health however.
You can customize the color of their body and choose the style of their appendages: Long, short, sharp, zigzag, chipped and curled. Their appendages are not hidden by space suits.
Why It's Good For The Game
This is a species that people thought was cool so i'm bringing them here so people can check them out.
