Each month we publish a short update of the technical team's ongoing and planned work. Where possible we link to documentation where you can find more details about each activity. If you have any questions feel free to send an email or ask a question in the issues of this repository.

Work performed

• Continuing to QA a migration of QDR to Dataverse 5 (currently testing on Dev and Stage environments)
  • We estimate this is ~ 1 week worth of work to complete and move to Prod
• Reserve file PIDs
  • Submitted PR to IQSS https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/pull/7334 - but waiting for progress on speed of DOI registration issue https://github.com/IQSS/dataverse/issues/7393 to implement
• Site / Data Search - Working to provide clearer hints to users about queries posed in different search boxes on qdr.syr.edu https://github.com/QualitativeDataRepository/drupal8/issues/12

QDR Contributions to IQSS

• #7178 - fixed a minor bug causing failures on original API calls, updated prod metrics caching/db to handle requests until update is deployed (so QDR stats are reported in the global summaries). (FWIW: Also did work for GDCC to make global metrics ask for json on endpoints where QDR added json/csv options.)
• #7334 -File PID registration at creation - updated and added code to also check/do registration at publication time if it hadn't been done before/added a failure message analogous to the one for dataset PID if this fails.
• #7336 - update to file replace to check for name conflicts with other files
• #7337 - allow replacement of draft file, keeping file metadata except file name
