I've recently started exploring Talon, and agree with @2shea that the circular reference between https://talonvoice.com/ and https://talon.wiki is confusing.
Getting Started page should be more accessible to folks with non-programming background #170
I understand why writers of this wiki wanted to refer back to the official site, but I think it just makes things more difficult for new users.
As it would seem that information on the official site is infrequently updated, I don't think there's much practical issue in incorporating the information there into this wiki.
Getting Started Page
Specifically, I have:
Removed "You can also install and run Talon by following the official installation instructions. This info supplements that page."
Added a first step of checking system requirements.
Added platform specific download links so that https://talonvoice.com does not need to be referenced.
Included a screenshot of selecting the
Conformer D
recognition engine.Created a new step "6: Next steps", and moved various points previously under "Test your Talon Setup" to here.
Hardware Page
Change title to "Hardware & OS"
Added a new section for "Operating System". This contains the relevant info from https://talonvoice.com. Again to avoid a circular reference between it and this wiki.
