A list of common problems and known solutions.
There seems to be an issue in Kodi that sometimes can corrupt the TV Guide data. A simple solution for this is to clear the internal TV Guide data that Kodi keeps. In case you suspect this may be the issue, go to:
» Kodi settings » PVR & Live TV » General » Clear data
The pvr.iptvsimple add-on is a binary Kodi add-on. On many systems binary add-ons ship with Kodi, but on more generic Linux platforms binary add-ons ship as separate OS packages. If Kodi reports that pvr.iptvsimple is missing from your system, please install one of the below packages:
-
Debian →
apt-get install kodi-pvr-iptvsimple
-
Fedora →
dnf install kodi-pvr-iptvsimple
-
Ubuntu →
apt-get install kodi-pvr-iptvsimple
Depending on the Kodi skin you have installed, the TV and Radio sections can be disabled from the Skin settings. In case you suspect this may be the issue, go to:
» Kodi settings » Interface » Skin » Configure skin… » Main menu items
Then enable the TV and Radio entries in the listing.
Sometimes multiple add-ons offer the same Live TV or Radio channels to IPTV Manager, and this may be confusing and unwanted. If you are in this case, know that the Kodi PVR backend includes a Channel manager which allows you to enable or disable specific channels.
This Channel manager is available from:
» Kodi settings » PVR & Live TV » General » Channel manager
From this menu you can enable and disable specific TV and Radio channels.
Another alternative is to hide the unwanted channels from:
» Kodi settings » PVR & Live TV » General » Group manager
