In this release, we are introducing our Neuromuscular Junction (NMJ) Image Analysis software. This software is designed to facilitate the morphometric analysis of NMJ microscopy images, as well as the analysis of protein distribution and localisation in immunohistochemically-labelled microscopy images.

Highlights of this release include:

  • Image Acquisition and Preparation: A detailed guide on preparing microscopy images for analysis, including information on the required folder hierarchy and file structure.
  • Workflow Instructions: Comprehensive instructions for running image analysis in both MATLAB and ImageJ, including steps for generating binary images, calculating areas and fragment counts, and assessing colocalisation.
  • Data Compilation: A MATLAB function for compiling the results of the analysis into a single Excel file.
