This might come handy to organizations using common DNS ("directory-like") units (e.g. "client.department.loc.ation.dom.ain") instead of the "single-level" model that is currently expected by mytop (i.e. "client-department-loc-ation.dom.ain").
Default setting (i.e. "2") works for common enterprises like "foo.com", but won't be appropriate to things like "foo.co.uk" or "foo.com.au".
Option naming is clumsy, might want to change it to something better. ;-)
