- Clone the repository to your local environment.
- Ensure you have Python installed.
- Be sure you have the included
namegen_names.dbfile in the same directory as the namegenie.py or executable. - Choose the gender and click "Generate" to obtain a character name.
- Optional: Add more names to the database using the "Add Names" tab link.
- Python (>= 3.0)
- wxPython (install using pip install wxpython)
- SQLite3 (standard Python package)
- Random (standard Python package)
For users who prefer a standalone application:

Windows Binary with Separate Database: This version requires the included separate database for operation.

Standalone Windows Binary with Embedded Database: This version is a standalone Windows executable created with ExeOutput for PHP. The database is embedded within the executable, making it more accessible for users who may not be familiar with running Python scripts or managing separate databases.
