Tidy Custom Sheet Sections
Tidy Custom Sheet Sections are here! These features are now available for PCs, NPCs, Vehicles, and Containers:
- declaring sections on Items (consumable, container, equipment, loot, tool, weapon, feature, spell)
- configuring sections on eligible sheet tabs (show/hide, sort order)
- creating items from custom sections
- dropping items with custom sections onto a sheet
Declaring Custom Sections
Open any eligible inventory item, spell, or feature to find options for a custom section and a custom action section:
- Specifying a "Section" will place the item in a custom section on its relevant tab
- Specifying an "Action Section" will do the same but on the Actions tab
By default, new sections appear at the bottom of their relevant tab.
Configuring Sections
Default and custom sections can be reordered and have their visibility toggled in the new Section Config toolbar menu.
All eligible tabs can be configured, including the Actions tab.
In addition to PCs, NPCs, and Vehicles (Action tab only), Containers also support native CCSS. Also, they now arrange their inventories according to the regular inventory sorting method, rather than a single "Contents" section:
Item Creation
You can create items from custom sections. If there's more than one item type available, the dnd5e 3 Item Creation dialog will appear with the eligible item options.
Dropping Items with Custom Sections onto a Sheet
Items can be set up with custom sections in the compendium and sidebar, and they can be dropped onto a sheet and be automatically applied to their target section.
Dragging and dropping between sheets achieves the same effect.
This allows for a DM to prepare custom sections from the items themselves ahead of time and across game worlds, saving time when a specific set of custom sections is commonly desired.
CCSS to Tidy Migration Available
- Now that Tidy is implementing its own custom sections, a migration is available to migrate CCSS item data to Tidy
- Tidy and CCSS can still coexist, with CCSS working for other sheets and Tidy managing its own sectioning
Favorites Improvements
- The Attributes tab now features a toolbar for Favorites content
- Favorite sections now match their target tabs, including custom sections
- Favorite items from different tabs with the same custom section now join into one Favorites section with generally universal columns
Localization
- French updates thanks to tigue54 and GregoryWarn
- Italian updates thanks to GregoryWarn
Misc
- Added "Use Tidy Spell School Icons" World Setting, default
true
. Disable this option if you'd like to use Custom D&D 5e spell school icon settings,CONFIG.DND5E
, or other modules that work withCONFIG.DND5E
- Favorite Items within containers now show in Favorites
- Updated NPC to group classes and their associated subclasses
- NPCs with a subclass that doesn't have a matching class now show a warning banner and an icon next to the unmatched subclass
- Item Sheets now use switch toggles for equipping and identification.
