Why code output is so ugly

At the moment the input codeblocks are formatted nicely, but the output is little bit ugly.

The alignation of columns is somehow messed up. I think this is quite bothering in the end. Just wondering if anyone has ideas or knowledge of how to fix this. First thing would probably be just to change the font in CSS, but I didn't get that to work either. Just adding an issue here in case someone looks here and happens to know the answer. I spent too many hours with this already without solution.
