I have many prized repos pinned below.
I enjoy hacking on Rust ports, parsers, developer tools in Crystal, and fumbling my way through building a point-and-click adventure game.
I'm also fond of compilers, emulation, structured concurrency, hacking on Linux device support, poking fun at things, and over-engineering my home network for funsies.
I work-in-place as a staff software engineer for a behavioral health care startup focused on providing care for patients with serious mental illness and their caregivers.
I like to work with a lot of different types of software, platforms, languages, and frameworks. Getting to work from the lower levels of the stack all the way up to where the user interacts particularly excites me. I like getting to change my hats every once in a while.
I've worked on embedded systems and operating systems, to product teams building complex systems on Rails and large UI applications in Ember, and sat on infrastructure teams managing production cloud infrastructure.
Show me "cool stuff"
I'm actively using and enjoying these things at work, at home, or in open source projects.
Show me "interesting stuff"
I like to read about these, or play around with them in my homelab, on side projects, etc.
Show me "well-tread stuff"
At one time or another I've used these a bunch, or may still occasionally use these, or maintain software that uses these things
Show me "familiar stuff"
Things I've used here and there, but not enough to avoid diving into the docs again.
