Codename Fonio

Fonio lets you tell a story made of text, multimedia objects and data visualization mini-stories, then export that story wherever you want on the web.

Application Vocabulary

Fonio makes stories, which are a sequential assemblage of textual and not-textual elements.

A story is composed of three types of contents :

  • the metadata describes the story context and purpose (title, author, ...)
  • the contents is the sequence of elements that will be output as the story's content
  • the library is a list of assets that can be used one of several times in the contents

The library is composed of assets. An asset can be described as an element that can be immediately embeded inside the contents. It can be a video, an image, or an interactive sequence.
