The features can be configurable to add and exclude some unused features, see [Library Build Options](#library-build-options).

If you use other Arduino devices or you want to use more Firebase services included Cloud Firestore database, Firebase Storage, Google Cloud Storage and Cloud Functions for Firebase, please use [Firebase-ESP-Client](https://github.com/mobizt/Firebase-ESP-Client) library instead.

## We're moving to the new library

The RTDB (Realtime database), FCM (Cloud Messaing) and core code used in `Firebase-ESP-Client`, `FirebaseESP8266` and `FirebaseESP32` libraries are the same unless the syntaxes are different. Please see the library examples for usage guidlines.
The new async [FirebaseClient](https://github.com/mobizt/FirebaseClient) library is now availavle in Arduino IDE and PlatformIO's Library Manager.

The `FirebaseESP8266` and `FirebaseESP32` libraries are the old and limited features Firebase client library while `Firebase-ESP-Client` is the newver version of Firebase client library that developed to support more Firebase services.
It will be the old Firebase libraries (Firebase-ESP-Client, Firebase-ESP8266 and FirebaseESP32) replacement.

The new version of new async [FirebaseClient](https://github.com/mobizt/FirebaseClient) library is availavle for you to try.
The new library provides simpler APIs interface, faster and more reliable operations. It can use in both sync and async operations.

All old Firebase libraries will be deprecated soon this year and we recommended to upgrade your current code to work with new async [FirebaseClient](https://github.com/mobizt/FirebaseClient) library instead.

For Arduino NANO 33 IoT, Arduino MKR WiFi 1010, Arduino MKR VIDOR 4000, Arduino Nano RP2040 Connect, we recommend to use new async [FirebaseClient](https://github.com/mobizt/FirebaseClient) library instead of this old [Firebase-Arduino-WiFiNINA](https://github.com/mobizt/Firebase-Arduino-WiFiNINA) library.
