I'm a Research Scientist in CSIRO Mineral Resources' Geoscience Analytics team. I work on leveraging large geochemical datasets with data science approaches and machine learning, and also on a range of projects around geospatial and spectral analytics. I principally work in Python, and wherever possible make what I'm doing open and as accessible as feasible. Feel free to get in touch with me about:
- potential collaborative projects
- getting started with or contributing to any of my current projects (see below)
- ideas around making reproducible data analysis more accessible in the geosciences
I'm currently working on a few open source Python packages, largely targeted towards geochemists and spectral geology:
-
Python for geochemistry
-
A tool for loading TSG datasets into Xarray data formats, and conversion to open indexable and cloud-native file formats.
I've also released a few other open source Python pacakges which are not under active development:
-
A
pyrolite
extension for working withalphaMELTS
and its outputs. -
Predicting isobaric interferences for geological mass spectrometry.
-
2D coordinate transforms between analytical instrument stages and sample images.
I've made most of my recent conference and workshop presentations related to open source work available here on GitHub, feel free to have a browse through:
