This is one use case of a typical user of this application for a specific individual. Background of the person:

  • "man in a cafe" - John, who is on a work assignment from the UK is having his afternoon coffee in a cafe downtown Helsinki.
  • John has got 5-6 hours of freetime and wants to explore the city.
  • John has got some interests/likes, he wants to experience a live music event, have some italian food and see some of the most popular sights

Before using the application

  • John finds a cafe with wi-fi connection
  • He searches for applications/services for tourists in general
  • John installs our application

Timeline during the app usage

  • John selects a few keywords/tags explaining his interests/likes (he can also select one of the existing routes)
  • Application generates a personal tour starting from his location with some spots and sights.
  • John goes through the route and experiences the sights and spots. While at the location, John can use the app to get more information about the spot, read and write comments and add/share own photos.
  • John can change the items on his route along the way, if there's something out of his interests. Application will select another spot randomly nearby until John approves it.
  • GAMIFICATION? John receives points from every check-in which he does? (This needs some re-thinking)
  • When the trip's over, application could give the route to get back to the starting point or given hotel/address?

After using the application

  • John gives feedback/rating to his overall experience on the actual route (not the app usage)
  • He also shares the route to his friends in social media
  • Application stores John's route and points, which can be used in his future quests.
