Sift is a CakePHP ^3.7 plugin that helps you to uncover empty and unmanaged tables and columns in your database.
You can install this plugin into your CakePHP application using composer.
The recommended way to install composer packages is:
composer require --dev salines/sift
Add or move $this->addPlugin('Salines/Sift');
in Application.php
to:
protected function bootstrapCli()
{

$this->addPlugin('Salines/Sift');
}
bin/cake sift

select specific table. Examplebin/cake sift -t users
. Default: all-c
choose DB connections. Examplebin/cake sift -u remote
. Default: default
bin/cake sift -t users -c remote
Example output show unused (empty || NULL) columns in users table:
